Why does the membership form require date of birth?
Unfortunately, as a Paddle Scotland affiliated club, we are required to collect dates of birth in order to enter you into Paddle Scotland’s system as a member of the club (we are required to add member details to Paddle Scotland’s system so that you are insured as an affiliated club member). Your date of birth is used as a verification method in the event you login to Paddle Scotland’s JustGo system either to become a full member or to add credentials you have earned completing relevant courses.
What does the money for Club sessions go towards?
Fees for the Monday night sessions go towards upkeep of the club equipment (boats, paddles, buoyancy aids, helmets, trailer) for the use of all club members and associated boat storage costs. It also goes towards coach & leader training and petrol costs for the towing of the club trailer to various venues.
I have my own kit do I still need to pay for club sessions?
Yes unless you are a coach / leader. Costs for club sessions go towards the upkeep of club equipment which enables the club to keep running.
